What happens if I don't regularly service my car, ute or SUV?

When is a car, ute or SUV service due?

Some vehicles will notify you when servicing is required. It's usually time based or 'mileage' (KMs) based, but can be Condition-Based Servicing (CBS) in recent models. This system checks the different service parts for wear, and the vehicle only notifies you when attention is needed. At that point, a CBS icon lights up on the dashboard. More parts will be checked and fluids, including coolant and brake fluids, will be refilled if necessary. Some logbook services involve more evaluations and maintenance actions, including the replacement of spark plugs for petrol engines, engine coolant and all filters. That occurs about every 35,000 km or every two years generally but check your logbook.

Is diagnosis of car, ute or SUV problems free?

What if my car, ute or SUV service reveals other problems?

The workshops we support will inform you of any issue or highlight the reason behind a fault, clearly list the repair work needed and what the extra costs will be. They will then seek authorisation from you for any additional work that may be required.
